Lots to Celebrate this Spring!

Spring in Bowling Green, Ohio, is always a welcomed time! It seems that our cold and windy season lasts well over 6 months! We are always all too eager to be able to go outside without multiple layers of clothes, hats, gloves, etc. The kids are always so excited to be able to bike, skateboard and play without all of the snow, ice and bitter cold wind.


With the changing of seasons and new life that it brings, we also have much to celebrate every April in the Brown Household.


On April 1st, we disregard April Fool's Day (most of the time) to celebrate Logan's birthday. This year, he enjoyed a Reese Pie for dessert and a new longboard, as well as several other special gifts.




Then the next day, on April 2nd, we celebrated Ethan's birthday. Ethan opened up his presents (including an ipod speaker, some Wii games and lots of money) in the morning.








We then followed our family tradition over the past several years, of going to Easton, Ohio, on Good Friday. They have a fabulous mall and great restaurants! Our family loves taking about 36 hours to spend time together and shop. The kids all save up birthday and some Christmas money to go on this shopping spree (Bowling Green leaves much to be desired in the shopping arena for teens!).





This year, we celebrated Ethan's birthday there with his pick of desserts: The Cheesecake Factory!






Then we celebrated Easter together by going to church, coloring Easter eggs, having an Easter egg hunt for Jameson, making "resurrection treats," and spending the day together.



























So as not to interrupt the celebrations, God saw fit to grace us with Jameson - born on April 5, 2008! So today, we are celebrating his life! He kept telling everyone that it was his "day!" Lauren made him a cake decorated with his favorite characters from the show, "Yo Gabba
Gabba!"












And he loved opening his presents: more Yo Gabba Gabba toys, a Diego bike, Cars roller skates and more! Our family definitely loves to lavish him with love and gifts!

It has been a busy first few days of April! So now, we are going to take a small break from all the presents, desserts and festivities...long enough to prepare for Michael's birthday on April 29th, that is!
