Our children come from a theatrical family. Michael was the lead in several of his high school musicals, as well as the President of his school's theater. While I never landed any leads, I was also a Thespian in high school and performed in multiple plays and musicals.
Lauren has been involved with musicals, and sang all four years in her school's choir and select choir, not to mention all her dancing talents!
And the boys have all enjoyed music in their own way, too. Justin is also in his school's select choir and is a Thespian. Logan has been in his school's choir and in several plays and musicals in the community. And while Ethan does not always love performing in front of people, his love for the theater is also growing, as he has now been in three community theater shows.
This summer, the boys have already made one music video together!
Justin's love for singing and playing the guitar has been obvious for several years now, and he even toyed with the idea of maybe auditioning for "American Idol" some year.
But about a week ago, Justin invited Ethan to try to harmonize with him. Ethan caught on incredibly quickly and was soon belting out the song with Justin. As they were "perfecting" their song, they invited Logan to join in and do some rapping.
I have enjoyed hearing them practice together in the basement and am amazed at what they put together!

It will be interesting to see if Jameson also develops a love for music and the theater. Although, we are all thinking football is probably in his future!
