Lauren just completed her 15th dance recital this past weekend. She started dancing a few weeks before she turned 3 years old. Apart from a few "rough" months when she was 4, she has loved dance ever since!
She has danced competitively now for 10 years. She has grown so much as a dancer, especially the past few years. I never tire of watching her and her friends grace the stage!
We have been so fortunate to be a part of a fabulous studio, amazing choreographers and such great dancers!
At the VIP Dance Competition in Toledo in May, three of The Beat's dances scored in the top 10 dances of the weekend (over 350 dances)!
These dances just got put on the VIP website:
10th overall: "Lovely" (Lauren's contemporary solo)
9th overall: "This Joint is Jumpin" (Lauren's tap line)
6th overall: "Shout!" (Lauren's tap trio with her closest dance friends, Katelyn & Mariah)

What a great way to "end" her time with The Beat!
While it will be very different, we look forward to her continued involvement with dance at the University of Akron in the fall...
